NOURISH MORNING CHIA BOWL

Mornings for me have to start as calm and quiet as possible. I am sensitive to noise and too much morning chaos. So I had to learn how to build my self care routine with that in mind. Adding a new baby into the mix means more prep and whatever I eat needs to nourish me.

This breakfast bowl satisfies my empty stomach and provides all that I need until lunch. Prepare this the day before or during Sunday prep day.

Ingredients

  • Chia Seeds-1/4 C

  • Nut Milk of your choice- 1C

  • Berries- 1/2 C

  • Pinch of Kosher salt

  • Kefir Yogurt-2T

  • Maple Syrup-1T

This is the basic foundation of my morning chia bowl. I mix up the fruit to not get bored of the flavor. I will add occasionally cacao powder and nut butter to change up the flavor and nutrients.

Mix the chia seeds and milk together thoroughly with Maple syrup.

In a small mason jar or yogurt jar put a layer of fruit at the bottom. Next add your liquid mixture. Repeat adding fruit at the top. Put in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
