The essential postpartum pantry checklist

During the last months of pregnancy, parents are busy preparing for their little one’s arrival. However, we often forget about what we need to do to properly prepare to ensure mom is taken care of.

Our nutrition after birth is 1 of the 4 essential pieces to a positive recovery. Planning healthy meals requires having a stocked pantry for easy access. A well-thought-out pantry can curb frustration, unnecessary stress curb unwanted cravings.

In the last trimester of pregnancy, I work with clients to prepare their homes and families for the transition into postpartum. We focus on setting up a nourishing and healthy pantry, we take a look at the type of pans, utensils, and flow of the kitchen and who will be preparing mom’s food.

Below is an Ayurvedic Postpartum pantry checklist that will ensure a fully stocked pantry and provide a nourishing foundation for new moms in the first 42 days.
